Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklung der Pflanze bzw. ihrer Organe läßt sich formal in drei Teilaspekte gliedern: das Wachstum als quantitative Vermehrung von Größe (Masse und Volumen), die Differenzierung als qualitatives Verschiedenwerden von Zellen und Geweben und die Morphogenese als das geordnete Zusammenspiel der Zellen bei der Ausbildung von Gestalt und Funktion im Kormus der vielzelligen Pflanze. Diese drei Aspekte können sowohl einzeln als auch miteinander gekoppelt in den verschiedenen Phasen der pflanzlichen Entwicklung auftreten.
