Order and Disorder in Elementary Particle Physics
In the previous chapters we have obtained a detailed view of the principles of the standard model and of its successes in comparison with experiment. All presently available experimental results seem to be compatible with the standard model, which thus seems to provide a correct description of particle physics, at least up to center of mass energies of about 100 GeV. What can we learn from this and what are the open questions?
