Zusammenfassung

Für die Diagnostik der Speicheldrüsenerkrankungen steht ein breites Spektrum von Untersuchungsmethoden zur Verfügung (Seifert et al. 1984; Rice u. Becker 1994). Hierzu gehören die Erhebung klinischer Befunde mit Inspektion und Palpation (Mann 1992), bildgebende Verfahren wie Ultraschall mit A-Scan und B-Scan (Mann 1992), die Röntgendiagnostik einschließlich Sialographie (Grevers u. Vogl 1993), Computertomographie, Kernspintomographie und Szintigraphie, welche je nach Lage des Falles im Rahmen einer Stufendiagnostik eingesetzt werden müssen (Mees et al. 1992; Kaneda et al. 1994). Weitere Methoden sind die Messung der Speichelflußraten (Sialometrie) und die Untersuchung der Speichelzusammensetzung (Sialochemie).
