Abstract
The obsession of most researchers in the modeling of tropospheric chemistry, i.e. the formation of photochemical oxidants, can be put in a verbal form by the colloquial expression: “garbage in, garbage out”. Let us understand its meaning. Despite the perfect physical structure of a given model for computer simulation, the poor quality of experimental field input data entails a defective running of even the best up-to-date tool. Consequently, the credibility of the results of computation becomes dubious.
