Abstract

We introduce the R-matrix method as applied to electron-atom and electron-ion scattering, and in particular we discuss the specific two-electron problem of electron-hydrogen-like ion scattering. A computer code for the calculation of cross sections for electron—hydrogen-like ion scattering is described together with some sample input and output data.
