Imaging Modalities in Diagnosis and Staging of Carcinoma of the Prostate

  • Chapter
Book cover Carcinoma of the Prostate

Part of the book series: Medical Radiology ((Med Radiol Radiat Oncol))

Abstract

The zonal description of the prostate by McNeal has led to a better understanding of the anatomy of this gland as visualized by transrectal ultrasonography (TRUS) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and of the pathology involved. The applied anatomy has been discussed in Chap. 4.
