Die Haut stellt ein wichtiges Immunorgan des Menschen dar. Spezialisierte Lymphozyten haben hier ihr Immunkompartiment, genannt SALT (skin-associated lymphoid tissues), und üben wichtige Funktionen hinsichtlich der lokalen Infektabwehr, Steuerung von Zellwachstum und Wundheilung aus [21, 28]
