Abstract

The accuracy of ozone DIAL measurements in the planetary boundary layer (PBL) and the lower free troposphere (LFT) is limited by unknown aerosol parameters, which have to be assumed for the ozone calculation. Errors due to wrong assumptions and the improvement of the ozone determination using one or two additional Raman channels are presented in this paper. First measurements with DIAL and one Raman channel are shown.
