Abstract

Epidemiological data on the prevalence of erectile dysfunction are evidently based on estimates and therefore cannot be verified. The number of men in Germany suffering from erectile dysfunction is said to be 3–5 million. If an attempt is made to find out the source of those data, the trail usually disappears in the pseudoscientific jungle of an immense bulk of secondary literature.
