Zusammenfassung

Die Dyspepsie ist eine Diagnose, die zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnt und gleichzeitig aufgrund ihres multifaktoriellen Hintergrundes, ihrer problematischen Definitionen, ihres heterogenen klinischen Bildes und wechselnder und nicht vereinheitlichter diagnostischer Basisforderungen ein erhebliches Problem darstellt [35, 38, 71, 74]. Zudem werden die Begriffe „dyspeptische Beschwerden“, „chronische Dyspepsie“, „funktionelle Dyspepsie“ und „Nonulcer-Dyspepsia“ häufig für denselben klinischen Problemkomplex eingesetzt. Dyspeptische Symptome werden im oberen Abdomen angegeben, können sich jedoch auch fortsetzen oder ausstrahlen in den thorakalen Bereich [77, 81]. Diese Symptome unterscheiden sich nicht zwangsläufig von den spezifischen und unspezifischen Symptomen, die wir von anderen Erkrankungen des Gastrointestinaltraktes kennen. So klagen viele der Patienten über retrosternales Brennen, retrosternale Krämpfe und Schmerzen, Sodbrennen, Völlegefühl, Aufstoßen, epigastrische Schmerzen, zum Teil auch ausstrahlend nach dorsal oder nach kranial [34]. Die Beschwerden können kombiniert sein mit Beschwerden im Mittel- und Unterbauch. Bei manchen Patienten treten sie in Zusammenhang mit der Nahrungsaufnahme auf, bei anderen fehlt dieser Zusammenhang.
