Zusammenfassung
Die Achalasie ist die wohl am besten untersuchte primäre Motilitätsstörung der Speiseröhre und ist klassischerweise durch fehlende oder inkomplette Erschlaffung des häufig hypertonen unteren Ösophagussphinkters und Amotilität im tubulären Ösophagus gekennzeichnet [13]. Die funktionelle distale Obstruktion zusammen mit der ineffektiven peristaltischen Aktivität der tubulären Speiseröhre verhindert ein normales Weiterführen des Speisebolus vom Pharynx in den Magen. Dies führt zu einer Stase von Speichel und Nahrungsmittel und Superinfektion mit Bakterien und Pilzen.
