Zusammenfassung

Manometrische Untersuchungen der Dickdarmmotilität haben bis heute nur einen geringen Stellenwert in der klinischen Kolondiagnostik, da sich klinisch relevante Motilitätsstörungen im Dickdarm nicht durch das Auftreten leicht erkennbarer pathologischer Motilitätsmuster — wie z. B. bei der Achalasie im Ösophagus — auszeichnen, sondern eher durch ein vermehrtes oder vermindertes Auftreten von physiologischen Kontraktionsmustern gekennzeichnet sind.
