Abstract
Knowing well Åke Andersson’s intense concern for the future and given the very title of this book, Knowledge and Networks in the Dynamical Economy. I find it impossible to avoid grappling with the problem of projecting what’s ahead. And since among regional scientists I can claim to have more years than most of struggle to understand the dynamics of spatial development (space-time paths), I dare to extrapolate the past. I choose to do so beginning from the first event identified by scientific man, the Big Bang, and in doing this I will draw heavily upon the analysis in my forthcoming book, Commonalities of Art, Science and Religion: An Evolutionary Perspective (Scheduled for July 1996 publication by Avebury Press).
