Zusammenfassung
In diesem Kapitel werden aktuelle Entwicklungen aus zwei Gebieten der Neuropsychologic herausgegriffen, die von besonderer Relevanz für das Verständnis psychiatrischer Krankheitsbilder sind: Gedächtnisstörungen und Störungen der zentralen Kontrolle kognitiver und emotionaler Funktionen. Die beiden Gebiete sind eng miteinander verwoben. Das Kapitel beginnt daher mit der Darstellung eines Modells menschlicher Gedächtnisfunktionen, das die zentrale Kontrolle integriert. Davon ausgehend werden klinische Aspekte der Störungsbilder dargestellt und neue Erklärungsansätze zur Diskussion gestellt.
