Abstract
One of the collaborative research programmes under the auspices of the International Energy Agency concerns the various techniques and technologies which influence energy use through Demand Side Management (DSM). A total of fifteen countries are working together on a number of different programmes under this umbrella. One of the sub-groups is working on procedures by which new DSM technologies can be brought forward by international market pull. Annex III on Co-operative Procurement consists of eight countries - Sweden, the Netherlands, Finland, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, the United States and Korea - co-ordinated by an operating agent - Hans Westling - in Sweden.
