Baryogenesis, Inflation and Superstrings

We study the conditions for successful Affleck-Dine baryogenesis in generic inflation and supergravity scenarios, finding powerful restrictions on them. String-based SUGRA models are especially interesting since they are surprisingly suitable for the implementation of AD baryogenesis and also inflation itself, presenting a nice solution to the ubiquitous η-problem.
