Zusammenfassung
Im Hinblick auf das Thema „Macht und Abhängigkeit“ möchte ich anregen, daß die wirksamste Art und Weise, seine Macht als Psychotherapeut zu nutzen, die ist, sie abzugeben — d. h., die Macht des Patienten und die Macht der Familie als unsere Partner in der Gesundheitsfürsorge anzuerkennen. Ich werde einen Prozeß beschreiben, der zu einer funktionalen Interdependenz zwischen Patienten, Familien und dem Gesundheitsteam ermutigt. Der Fokus meines Beitrags über Macht und Abhängigkeit in Familienbeziehungen. Warum? Weil ich glaube, daß es viele Beweise für die Annahme gibt, daß vertraute Beziehungen sowohl Ursache als auch Heilmittel für viele psychische, psychosomatische und organische Probleme sind. Ich beginne, indem ich beschreibe wie wichtig die Familie des Patienten für die Einschätzung und Behandlung psychischer und psychosomatischer Probleme ist, um dann auf Macht und Abhängigkeit innerhalb unserer „Berufsfamilie“, nämlich das Team der Gesundheitsfürsorge, überzugehen.
