Zusammenfassung

Neben abdominellen Schmerzen, Diarrhoen, Gewichtsabnahme und extraintestinalen Symptomen wie Fieber und Arthralgien, gehört die Ausbildung von Fisteln bzw. Fistelsystemen zu den typischen intestinalen Komplikationen des M. Crohn. Fisteln können je nach Ausprägung die Lebensqualität des Patienten deutlich beeinträchtigen; sie können sogar die Ursache vital-bedrohlicher Komplikationen — z.B. Fisteln zu den ableitenden Harnwegen mit Ausbildung septischer Krankheitsbilder — darstellen. In Abhängigkeit vom untersuchten Patientenkollektiv, der Beobachtungsdauer und dem Befallsmuster wird die kumulative Häufigkeit von Fisteln bei Patienten mit M. Crohn mit 14–83% angegeben (Crohn et al. 1932; Schneider u. Rosahl 1986).
