Abstract

We compared noise characteristics between CR system and full field digital mammography ( FFDM) system in raw data to evaluate image quality performances. CR system was performed with a unit ( Senographe DMR; GE Medical Systems,Milwaukee, Wis) and a CR (FCR5000MA Plus; FUJI PHOTO FILM,Tokyo). FCR system was able to conduct dual light collectionand a pixel density was 20pixels/mm(50µm pixels). FFDM system was performed with a unit (Senographe2000D; GE Medical Systems,Milwaukee, Wis). We also measured NPS values changing the exposure level to evaluate the relationships between the exposure dose and the noise with PMMA phantom. Each system indicated improvement of NPS value in accordance with increase of exposure level.
