Zusammenfassung
Gelenkinfektionen können durch unterschiedliche Erregergruppen verursacht werden: Es kommen sowohl Viren als auch Bakterien, Pilze und Parasiten in Betracht. Per definitionem müssten diese entzündlichen Veränderungen der Gelenke als Synovialitiden bezeichnet werden, klinischerseits hat sich jedoch der Begriff Arthritis eingebürgert.
