Zusammenfassung
Eine weiterführende Diagnostik erfolgt zu diesem Zeitpunkt lediglich zur Komplettierung der Befunde, die bei dem Check-up erhoben wurden. Diese orientiert sich meist an den spezifischen Verletzungen des Patienten und sollte folgende Punkte berücksichtigen:

Erweiterte kardiopulmonale Messungen, wie z.B. die pulmonale Hämodynamik (Pulmonalarteriendruck und Herzindex). Dies ist speziell für Patienten mit einer verlängerten Schockphase, sowie Patienten mit einem Thoraxtrauma von Bedeutung (s. Kap. 13)

Ausschluß einer Gefäßverletzung (Dopplersonographie, Angiographie, DSA)

Ausschluß einer Verletzung der Niere oder der ableitenden Harnwege (retrograde Urethrozystographie, Pyelographie, CT)

Erweiterte Röntgendiagnostik des Skelettsystems (Schrägaufnahmen, Schichtaufnahmen, CT z.B. bei intraartikulären Verletzungen)
