Summary
We present some aspects of a case-based assistant for the conceptual modelling of information systems. The CBModeler project aims to show, how the development of information systems can be supported by reusing requirements knowledge which has been acquired during former development projects.
The paper gives a short introduction into case-based reasoning and discusses some aspects of CBModeler in an analysis scenario. The following sections describe CB-Modeler’s general architecture, the representation of cases, the use of a reference model and some indexing and matching issues.
