Abstract
With continued growth of the HIV epidemic, it is becoming increasingly important that radiologists are aware of the gastrointestinal manifestations of this illness. Most patients with AIDS will exhibit gastrointestinal symptoms at some time during the course of their disease, and clinical AIDS is often determined by identifying an opportunistic infection or neoplasm of the gastrointestinal tract. Hence, radiology often plays a key role in helping to determine the diagnosis as well as in directing the management.
