Abstract
The process of European integration according to a market approach mainly consists in the removal of the obstacles which hinder the integration of the national markets for goods, services, capital and labour. The abolishment of customs tariffs, the creation of the European Single Market, the free mobility of capital and the European Monetary Union represent various stages in this development.
