Abstract

The Universal Spine System (USS) involves four basic concepts:
  • Independent anchorage of hooks and/or screws to the spine and independent rod positioning.

  • Easy connection between the anchorage and the rod.

  • Standardization and simplification of implants, which can all be handled from the top. No lateral nuts are used.

  • Segmental correction and stabilization.
