Unser Globus ist zu knapp 30% von Landmassen bedeckt, die als begrünte Landschaft, Wüstensand, Felsgestein oder ewiges Eis in Erscheinung treten. Eis und Felsgestein verbinden wir sicher nicht mit dem Begriff Boden, ist aber Wüstensand als Boden zu bezeichnen? Welche Kenntnisse besitzen wir über diesen Naturbestandteil oder, wie man heute sagt, über dieses Umweltmedium und wie gehen wir damit um?
