Zusammenfassung

Manager fingen an, sich mit Fragen des 21. Jh. zu beschäftigen, als sie bemerkten, daß die meisten Profis nun Computer auf ihren Schreibtischen und Telephone in ihren Taschen haben und daß diese beiden Systeme Netzwerke benutzen, mittels derer Menschen verbunden werden, die oft in Zeit, Ort, Denken und Gefühl voneinander entfernt sind. In solch einer Umwelt Profis zu schaffen, müssen die Führenden des 21. Jh. verschiedenen Herausforderungen begegnen, nämlich wechselnden Marktkräften, neuen Menschenfragen und zusätzlichen Führungskompetenzen. Um diesen Herausforderungen zu begegnen, werden Bildungssysteme erforderlich sein, die zusätzliche Lehr-/Lernmethoden entwickeln, welche die traditionelle Klassenzimmer-Ansätze im Rahmen der Managementausbildung übertreffen. Das Resultat wird die Entwicklung eines neuen sozialen Kontraktes zwischen einem Unternehmen und seinen Angestellten sein, eines, das mehr Stakeholders engagiert, verantwortlich für die Gemeinschaft ist und im Rahmen dessen Ziele und Werte geteilt werden müssen.
