Zusammenfassung

Trotz zunehmender Kenntnisse über die pathophysiologischen Grundlagen der akuten Subarachnoidalblutung, der Einführung mikrochirurgischer sowie interventionell-neuroradiologischer Behandlungsmethoden und der Verbesserung in der anästhesiologisch-intensivmedizinischen Versorgung ist die Prognose der Erkrankung mit einer nach wie vor erheblichen Letalität und Mor-bidität verknüpft.
