Zusammenfassung

Nach der Vorstellung des UNIX-Systems als Workstation-Standard in Kapitel 11 und der näheren Betrachtung der Benutzerschnittstelle in Kapitel 12 soll nun die interne Struktur, die Architektur, von UNIX dargestellt werden ([BACH 86], [LEFF 89]). Dabei dient als Referenzsystem das UNIX System V Release 4 (SVR4), das Standard-UNIX aus heutiger Sicht.
