Abstract

Section 3.3 discussed the basic theory of nocturnal cooling and described attempts to predict the nocturnal cooling rate in a given location for specific weather conditions. This section is concerned with the processes that account for different cooling rates and thus different minimum temperatures between sites in the same general area during the same night.
