Map L Systems with Multiple Markers

  • Chapter
Lindenmayer Systems

Abstract

A new class of map OL systems with multiple markers is introduced. This class is shown to properly include cyclic controlled and marker controlled, binary, propagating OL systems and map systems with handles. This class will also include map OL systems with marker, if we allow erasing of edges. Thus the new system introduced here includes all the existing map system models. Applications of these systems to fractal images, slicible and non-slicible VLSI floorplan designs and kolam patterns are discussed.
