Zusammenfassung
Der weltweit zu beobachtende Zuwachs an Teilnehmeranschlüssen und die Einführung der automatischen Fernwahl haben zur Entwicklung von Weitverkehrssystemen geführt, die breitbandige Übertragungswege zur Verfügung stellen. Durch Vielfachausnutzung der Übertragungswege (Multiplextechnik) kann der ständig steigende Bedarf an Fernsprechwegen auf wirtschaftliche Weise gedeckt werden.
