Abstract
With respect to objective reasons, the construction of partial and also complex econometric models of the Slovak economy does not have at present a long history. It is caused by a relatively short time of the independent existence of the Slovak economy due to which also the time series reflecting its up to now development are too short. It is remarkably manifested in the length of annual time series consisting currently of 7–8 observations at maximum. Thus, the relatively best data base for the construction of econometric models of the Slovak economy is represented by the quarterly time series of macroeconomic indicators.
