Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung einer Harnröhrenstriktur ist immer dann erforderlich, wenn sie urodynamisch wirksam ist. Die Indikation zur Therapie ergibt sich nur selten alleine aus der z. B. durch Kalibrierung messbaren Harnröhrenweite. Bis heute gibt es keine allgemeingültige Regel zur Beurteilung der altersabhängigen Harnröhren-weite, anhand derer die Notwendigkeit zur Urethrotomie abzulesen wäre. Vielmehr ist stets die Kombination von Anamnese und den Ergebnissen der Diagnostik entscheidend.
