Abstract
A central topic in the research on telework of the author has been that of management resistance to the issue (Suomi-Pekkola 1998). I have tried to find reasons for this resistance through many directions: from hostile organizational cultures towards telework (Suomi-Pekkola 1999), from the non-cooperative relationship between employees and their managers (Suomi 1999), and even from the limited mind-sets of managers (Suomiet al1998). In this chapter this mission is continued: this time the issues of missing social innovation and standardization are taken up.
