Zusammenfassung

Die infektiöse Gastritis wird im Prinzip durch die gleichen Erreger verursacht wie die Ösophagitis (s. Kap. 24). Ein spezieller Erreger im Magen ist der Helicobacter pylori, der ursächlich für die Ulkuskrankheit ist. Dank der Säureproduktion, die die meisten Mikroorganismen eliminiert, ist der Magen selten durch andere Infektionen betroffen. Alle Episoden von infektiöser Gastritis sind ungewöhnlich. Die meisten Episoden werden bei HIV-infizierten und anderen immunkompromittierten Individuen beobachtet.
