Abstract
There is no agreement on the long-term results of systemic therapy for ony-chomycosis, including the use of the newer drugs. However, the moderate responses sometimes obtained using such drugs may increase interest in finding better alternatives despite the poor penetration of drugs into nail tissue, which explains the usual lack of success of topical nail therapy.
