Zusammenfassung

Gallebildung und -ausscheidung stellen eine wesentliche Funktion der Leber dar, deren komplizierte Einzelschritte teilweise noch schwer durchschaubar bzw. kaum endgültig geklärt sind (Sellinger u. Boyer 1990). Galle ist eine aus verschiedenen Komponenten bestehende isotone Flüssigkeit; Hauptbestandteile der sog. Lebergalle sind zu 80% Wasser, zu 20% gelöste Stoffe, darunter Gallensalze (12%), Lezithin und andere Phospholipoide (4%) und nicht verestertes Cholesterin (0,7%) auf der einen Seite, konjugiertes Bilirubin, metabolisierte Proteine aus Plasma, lysosomalen Enzymen und Membrankomponenten (Sternlieb u. Quintana 1985), oft auch Xenobiotika und ihre Metaboliten auf der anderen. Dazu tritt innerhalb des intrahepatischen Leitungssystems eine unter Sekretineinfluß vom Epithel der Ductuli und Ductus gebildete, in ihrer Elektrolytzusammensetzung dem Blutplasma ähnelnde Lösung aus Elektrolyten, vorzugsweise Chloriden und Bikarbonaten, die später, in der Gallenblase, großenteils rückresorbiert werden.
