Zusammenfassung
Die Angiokardiographie ist zentraler Bestandteil der diagnostischen wie auch therapeutischen Herzkatheterisierung. Hatten noch bei der Entwicklung der klinischen Kathetertechnik in den 40er und 50er Jahren haemodynamische Messungen, wie Druckmessungen, Indikatorverteilungsmessungen, Flußmessungen, etc. im Vordergrund gestanden, so hat sich im Verlauf die Gewichtung verändert. Am augenfälligsten ist dies für den Bereich der koronaren Herzkrankheit. Mit der Entwicklung der chirurgischen und interventioneilen Revaskularisation hat die bildliche Darstellung der kardiovaskulären Anatomie immer größere Bedeutung erlangt. Im Gegensatz zu radiologischen Untersuchungstechniken hat dabei in der kardiologischen Herzkatheterdiagnostik immer auch Dynamik und Funktion eine große Rolle gespielt. Statt der typisch radiologischen Einzelaufnahmen werden in der angiokardiographischen Diagnostik Aufnahmeserien angefertigt: Neben guter Ortsauflösung ist damit eine ausreichende zeitliche Auflösung von Bedeutung.
