Abstract
The ethmoidal cells seldom remain contained within the interorbital space. The frontal sinus ex pands naturally to the interior of the frontal bone, including the interior of its orbital plates. Howev er, the anterior ethmoidal cells do the same, com peting for space with the frontal sinus. The sphe noidal sinus grows inside the sphenoid but may al so approach the ethmoidal cells and the maxillary sinus (Figs. 140–142).
