Zusammenfassung
Mit einem Anteil von 5, 6% an allen bösartigen Tumoren ist das Endometriumkarzinom nach Mamma- und kolorektalem Karzinom die dritthäufigste Krebserkrankung der Frau (Arbeitsgemeinschaft bevölkerungsbezogener Krebsregister in Deutschland 1997). Die Inzidenz steigt mit dem Alter kontinuierlich an und erreicht ihren Gipfel zwischen dem 70. und 80. Lebensjahr (mittleres Erkrankungsalter: 68 Jahre) (Abb.233).
