Abstract

This 42-year-old woman observed a swelling in the left knee with increasing pain over the previous 3 years. The patient underwent conservative and local injection therapy, with no relief of pain. On clinical examination a rather firm mass was palpated at an infrapatellar location. No other clinical signs were evident. Blood count was normal.
