Abstract
Chirped pulse amplification in ultraviolet region is demonstrated using broadband Ce:LiCAF laser medium. The 4-pass amplifier has 370-times gain and delivered 6-mJ, 290-nm pulses. After dispersion compensation, output pulses can be compressed down to 115 fs.
