Abstract

Our aim in Part One is to develop basic methods for Parts Two and Three, where we study the associated spaces of the based and free loops of, respectively, \(\mathbb{F}_k (M)\), with M being the Euclidean space ℝm, or the sphere S m. Part One is devoted to the homotopy theory of configuration spaces.
