According to estimates reported in the Global 2000 Report to the President (1977), recoverable world energy from the conventional sources amount to only about 141,000 quads (Table 12.1). With the 1983 world energy consumption of 250 quads as the base, life expectancy of the recoverable world conventional energy resources can be computed as given in Table 12.1 and 12.2.
