Abstract
In flow-dependent acquisition techniques, the blood vessel contrast is based on flow-induced effects. Indeed:
-
1.
Flow can render the signal intensity of blood hyper-intense based on inflow-related enhancement
-
2.
Flow can produce a signal void whenever the usual gradient compensation schemes are not appropriate for flowing spins
-
3.
Flow can induce specific, flow-related phase angles.
