Abstract

The influence of a cell-loaded tissue engineering scaffold on angiogenesis was studied in an in vivo mouse model. For the quantification of the angiogenesis the intravital microscopy was used. After 14 days the vascular density of the cell scaffold constructs was significant higher compared to the control.

In conclusion, chondrogenic cells have intense angiogenic effects in tissue engineering scaffolds.
