Zusammenfassung

Das Gorham-Stout-Syndrom ist eine seltene, fortschreitende Osteolyse ganzer Knochen und Skelettabschnitte. Es tritt in allen Alterstufen, jedoch bevorzugt im Kindes-und Jugendalter ohne Hinweis auf eine genetische Übertragung oder klare Geschlechtsbevorzugung auf. Bei der ätiologisch ungeklärten Erkrankung kommt es zu einer zunehmenden, regional begrenzten Auflösung von Spongiosa und Kompakta des befallenen Knochens mit späterem Ersatz durch Bindegewebe. Anhand eines seltenen Falles soll auf das Krankheitsbild der massiven idiopathischen Osteolyse nach Gorham-Stout als seltene Differentialdiagnose bei Schädelbasistumoren aufmerksam gemacht werden.
