Zusammenfassung

Als hepatotrop bezeichnet man Viren, deren primäres Zielorgan die Leber ist. Zu ihnen zählen in erster Linie die Hepatitisviren A, B, C, D und E. Die Bedeutung der „neuen“ Hepatitisviren HGV/GBV-C, TTV und SENV für den Menschen lässt sich derzeit noch nicht vollständig beurteilen.
