Zusammenfassung
Viele ernährungsbedingte neurologische Erkrankungen sind in Industriestaaten selten geworden, treten in Entwicklungsländern aber noch immer häufig auf. In Industriestaaten sind heute ernährungsabhängige neurologische Krankheitsbilder meist im Zusammenhang mit Alkoholabhängigkeit, bei bestimmten Diäten oder sekundär bei Malnutrition zu finden. Eine zunehmende Bedeutung gewinnt dagegen die Rolle gezielter ernährungstherapeutischer Interventionen bei neurologischen Krankheiten.
